MemberPress Pro 1.14.1: a membership rule checked with five access states
MemberPress provides memberships and rules for restricting WordPress content. We tested a simple requirement: one reference-library page should be readable by a member with a completed, unexpired entitlement, and unavailable to an expired member, a pending member, a subscriber without the membership and a logged-out visitor.
The GPLHub catalogue calls this package MemberPress Pro 1.14.1. The actual plugin header and installed WordPress entry call it MemberPress Scale, version 1.14.1. This page uses the source product name for discovery while explicitly recording that installed identity; it does not claim a vendor plan purchase or that a ZIP grants an account entitlement.
We created manual synthetic transaction records through the native model, evaluated the native rule function for all five states, then checked the real page in separate logged-out, active-member and expired-member browser sessions. No customer paid, no gateway was connected and no recurring charge was created.
One membership, one page, one rule
| Component | Configuration |
|---|---|
| Main package | 1.14.1; installed header MemberPress Scale |
| Membership product | Studio reference membership |
| Protected content | One page: Member reference library |
| Access condition | Selected membership product is required |
| Active state | Completed manual transaction; expires 30 days after the test |
| Expired state | Completed manual transaction; expired one day before the test |
| Pending state | Pending manual transaction with a future expiry |
| Nonmember state | Ordinary WordPress subscriber; no transaction |
| Other extensions | 52 selected add-on archives inventoried, none activated |
Each member is a separate synthetic subscriber. This avoids changing one user’s state repeatedly within the same request and mistaking a cached entitlement for a fresh result. The protected text contains a recognizable synthetic marker so we can distinguish the actual page content from its public title or an unauthorized message.
The rule targets a single page and a single membership product. We did not add an All Content rule or a second overlapping rule. An over-broad rule can accidentally protect login or account pages; a conflicting rule can also make an access test difficult to interpret. Keep the first staging exercise small enough that each result has an obvious cause.

Completed and unexpired was the only member state allowed
| Visitor state | Content locked? | Expected outcome |
|---|---|---|
| Active member | false | Allowed |
| Expired member | true | Denied |
| Pending transaction | true | Denied |
| Subscriber without membership | true | Denied |
| Logged out | true | Denied |
A pending record with an expiry in the future did not grant access. That is a useful distinction: merely creating a future-dated record is not equivalent to a completed entitlement. Likewise, an old completed transaction did not remain sufficient after its expiry. The active member’s completed, unexpired record was the only positive case.
These native checks use MemberPress’s own rule and user models, not a replacement authorization function written for this article. The stored transactions use the manual gateway and synthetic identifiers. They establish how this local rule evaluates those records; they do not prove that a real gateway creates, refunds or expires them correctly.
The real page showed content to the active member and a denial to others
Opening the protected page without a WordPress login displayed You are unauthorized to view this page and the native login form. The page’s title remained visible, but the synthetic library paragraph did not appear. We then used the real MemberPress login form to sign in as the active synthetic member.

After the active member logged in, the same URL displayed the MEMBER-LIBRARY-TEST paragraph. We then logged out through the actual account menu and logged in with the expired member’s separate credentials. The same page again displayed the unauthorized message, with no protected paragraph. The expired account was logged in; its denied state was not simply a failed login.

An unauthorized message inside a WordPress page is a content decision; it should not be confused with a guaranteed HTTP 403 response or with every file on the server being protected. We tested this ordinary page’s content. Direct media files, REST endpoints, custom post types and server-level file protection require separate checks.
Reproduce the access matrix before importing real members
- Install the supplied main plugin in a disposable staging WordPress installation and complete its native database/setup steps. Record the installed version and plugin identity.
- Create one membership product and one page with a distinctive synthetic paragraph. Add a single-page rule requiring that product.
- Create separate subscriber accounts for active, expired, pending and no-membership states. Use synthetic manual transaction records rather than a live payment gateway.
- Evaluate each account independently, and include a logged-out visit. Do not use the administrator to prove ordinary member access.
- Open the same page in the active and expired member sessions. Confirm that the protected paragraph appears only in the intended state, rather than checking the page title alone.
The accompanying developer fixture uses MemberPress’s native product, rule, access-condition and transaction models. It generates disposable test credentials outside the published results. The results file records the access decisions; it is not a MemberPress member-import file and does not contain a live customer database.
For a production-like staging test, add separate cases for renewals, refunds, failed payments, overlapping memberships and your actual cache layer. A small matrix that passes here is a starting point for those scenarios, not permission to skip them.
Main plugin versus the dated 52-component bundle
The first download is the exact supplied main 1.14.1 archive used in this test. The separate All Addons archive is the 17 October 2026 GPLHub snapshot, with 52 selected add-on archives after duplicate or superseded copies were removed. Each selected archive has its own version, filename, size and SHA-256 in the inventory.
The bundle includes extensions for workflows such as courses, downloads and integrations, but we did not activate those components. Their inclusion is an archive inventory, not a claim that every integration works with this main package or that external account services are enabled. It also does not mean every official MemberPress extension ever released is included.
Extract the outer All Addons ZIP first and install only the individual add-on ZIPs required by your own site. Uploading the complete collection as one WordPress plugin is not the intended installation method. Preserve backups before adding extensions to an established membership site.
What this test does not establish
Verified here: the saved single-page membership rule; native access results for five independent states; an anonymous denial; a real active-member content view; and a real expired-member denial. We used WordPress 7.1.3, PHP 8.4.26 and the supplied 1.14.1 main package without optional MemberPress extensions.
Untested: live checkout, billing, renewals, payment webhooks, refunds, subscription cancellation, drip schedules, rule expiration, corporate accounts, downloadable file protection, course completion, cache/CDN behavior and all 52 add-ons. No payment result or extension compatibility should be inferred from the manual transaction fixture.
For a site that only needs a private article shared with a small known group, a simpler access workflow might suffice. Use a membership system when you need a clear entitlement lifecycle and are prepared to test its transitions. The important work is deciding who should gain and lose access, not merely installing a feature-rich plugin.
This publication records the supplied 1.14.1 package and our 17 October 2026 checks. It does not assert the latest vendor release, an official plan purchase or byte-for-byte identity with an original vendor download. A future archive must receive a fresh hash and relevant retests.
MemberPress Pro Nulled FAQ
“Nulled” usually describes software whose activation or licence checks have been removed or altered; the word alone does not determine whether a particular use is lawful. GPL-covered code can be studied, modified and redistributed subject to its licence conditions, but this does not grant access to a developer’s account, hosted services, updates or support. We discuss the term here to answer a common search question; the download details separately identify the package source and tested version. Any plugin or theme obtained through an unverified third party can contain unwanted changes or malicious code, whether or not it is labelled “nulled”. Before installing it, you can ask ChatGPT or Claude Code to inspect the extracted source for suspicious behaviour without executing it or sharing credentials. Treat that review as an additional check: AI can miss harmful code or flag harmless code, and a clean result is not a security guarantee.
Why does WordPress display MemberPress Scale when the page says Pro? Pro is the GPLHub source product name requested for this guide. The supplied ZIP’s installed header is MemberPress Scale 1.14.1, and that identity is explicitly recorded here.
Does a pending transaction grant access if it has a future expiry? Not in our tested rule. The pending member was locked out while the completed, unexpired member was allowed.
Can an administrator verify a membership restriction by viewing the page? That is insufficient. MemberPress documentation notes that administrators bypass ordinary rules. Our positive and negative browser cases use separate non-administrator members.
Does the bundle include tested courses or protected downloads? It includes inventoried add-on archives, but neither those features nor their compatibility was tested in this exercise.
